A bit of waffle it Quite simply, the Forum here is free bulletin board software installed on the site allowing users and guests to post messages on various different boards. The posts in most cases are then retrieved and delivered to the 'main site' in aesthetically pleasing fashion in the various site sections by magic strange looking letter, number and symbol combinations. Benefits of registering on the forum In order post on the forum, use C-bay or any other service, you are free to do so as a guest (without registering) but in most circumstances you will need to be contractible somehow in order for the service to work. The safe and prefered method is to take a few simple steps to register on the forum. Registering is easy and very swift. You will be asked to provide a username of your choice, and an email address. And then...that's it! You're registered. The staff of Craignish.net promise never to give your address to any third parties or use them for anything at all without your permission. The main benefits Of course, some people just can't be bothered registering with sites if they don't have to. That's why we've set things up so you don't have to! It's up to you. The benefits:
Select 'always stay logged in' when you sign in and and in theory you'll never even have to sign in again. We really do take sitting back and relaxing and not having to do much very seriously round here, and I hope it shows in this one-off super swift process. The advantage is that your contact details are always kept completely private, and with e-mail notification switched on you'll never miss a thing. Most important of all, have fun and be safe you crazy cats. Register now. Just incase you wondered
At the bottom right of every page on Craignish.net you will see something like this: Once logged into the forum it will inform you of any 'private messages' awaiting your attention.
Once logged in, you will see something a little more like this: Now it's looking a bit more personalised and informative. Private Messages Just what it says, a message that is private, handy if you want to give someone your number or e-mail privately. This image should hopefully cover pretty much everything. Likewise when someone sends you such a message you will see it indicated at the bottom right of any page as shown above. Naturally you can also set your e-mail as 'public' within your profile settings on the forum, this makes things easier for other people to contact you and will add a little envelope icon to the image above. Play around with it it at your leisure. When you first register, your e-mail is 'hidden' as standard - to make yourself e-mailable directly from the forum simply select 'profile' from the main forum menu and you'll find all the settings you could ever wish for. You'll find lots of settings within your profile page you can play around with to customise how the forum works for you, but we won't go into that. Any further security issues are covered in our security white paper here.
